Wednesday Wonder - No. 18 - DIY Doily table runner

I love this idea of a doily table runner, they look fab on wooden tables and can be really cheap and cheerful to make.

All you need is a collection of fabric doilies, hunt around charity shops, the internet, the loft. easy and fun!

White needle and thread and sew them all together in a line and your done!

So easy and so effective that you'd be crazy not to give it a ago.

Papaver Loves....Malice in wonderland photoshoot.

The other week I loaned some lanterns to the beautiful and talented Emily who is a great photographer and lover of all things handmade and unique! She was planning a styled photo shoot inspired by Alice in wonderland.

I thought I would share some of the photos from the shoot. To read the full story and to see the whole shoot (including a list of suppliers) pop on over to 'Captured Hearts Photography'

Wednesday Wonder - No. 17 - DIY folded envelope, seed favour packet

With Spring well on its way now and summer just around the corner. Why not offer you guests some beautiful hand made favours filled with flowers for their garden?
These are really sweet and take little time to make and there's no glue, no mess just a piece of square paper and some stamps. Easy!
I found this really easy to follow tutorial on 'how to make a DIY folded envelope' which you can amaze your guests with. But if origami isnt your thing then a small brown paper envelope will work just as well.

I have stamped my favours with letter stamps but something printed or hand written would work just as well.
